Abstract:

Throughput and delay are one of the most important criteria used to measure wireless network efficiency. The protocol used to route network data has a significant effect on the network throughput and delay values. The routing protocol parameters have significant effects on throughput which lead to a significant effect on wireless network performance. In this research, nine scenarios were designed using the Opnet modeler to build a mobile Ad hoc network with respect to the parameters determined in each scenario. Three routing protocol tested (AODV, OLSR, and GRP) to find throughput optimal value. The results showed that the no. of nodes has shown higher notable effects on both network throughput and delay than other parameters, results shows also that the ADVO protocol offers better throughput than OLSR and the GRP in 40 and 80 nodes number.
